What Is a Star Map?
A star map, sometimes called a night sky map, recreates the view you would have seen looking up from a particular spot on a particular night: the stars, the constellations and sometimes the Moon, usually drawn as a circle of white stars on a dark background.
Star maps are lovely for marking a place and a moment: the night you met, the city where you got engaged, the evening of your wedding. What they don't do is say anything about a person. Two strangers standing in the same city on the same night would have exactly the same star map.
What Is a Birth Chart?
A birth chart, also called a natal chart, is a map of the solar system from your point of view at the moment you were born. It's drawn as a wheel of the twelve zodiac signs, showing where the Sun, the Moon and each planet were placed, and the lines (aspects) that connect them.
In astrology, each placement carries meaning: your Sun sign is your core identity, your Moon sign is your emotional world, and your Rising sign is how you meet the world. And Zodiac Constellation Prints?
