Atelier Holly is the Stockholm studio of British artist Holly Biörklund, where the sky at the moment of a birth becomes a work of art.

From Painted Silk to the Night Sky

Holly trained at Central Saint Martins in London. Her freehand-painted collection, which grew from her graduate work, was stocked by Browns and Bergdorf Goodman, and one of her hand-painted silk gowns was worn to the Met Costume Institute Gala. Her work has since spanned murals, original oil paintings, exhibitions and collaborations including Zadig & Voltaire and the 11 Howard hotel in New York. Her early fashion work was published under the name Holly Fowler.

How the Birth Charts Began

Atelier Holly started with a single gift: a birth chart Holly made for her goddaughter. Friends saw it and asked for their own, and it slowly grew from there. Today she plots and creates charts for people all over the world.

"Every time I receive an order, I'm so happy to make it. I love seeing the date of birth, plotting out the chart and discovering someone's Rising sign. It's a pleasure to bring art and astrology together in such a personal way."

How Each Chart Is Made

  • From your own birth data. Every chart is made to order from a date, place and (if known) time of birth, so it can only ever belong to one person.
  • Accurate, never guessed. Without a birth time, Holly sets the chart for noon and leaves out the Rising sign and houses. Read how it works.
  • Printed to last. Birth charts are printed on archival Hahnemühle German Etching paper. Read why paper quality matters.
  • Or painted by hand. Originals are painted in watercolor, gouache and gold leaf, and lettered in calligraphy ink.

Holly Biörklund is a British contemporary artist based in Stockholm, educated at Central Saint Martins in London. Raised in the English countryside and shaped by years in Paris and New York, Holly works across original oil on linen and limited-edition fine-art giclée prints.

Her imagery botanical motifs, talismanic symbols, and lyrical figurative line-work maps the space where memory, myth, and lived experience overlap. Color is deployed like a threshold: gentle gradients and dense grounds open into dreamlike worlds that feel both intimate and archetypal.
